Conclusion

WOW!!! Look what happens when a scientist, a conservationist, an Africa aid worker, and a Water Mission volunteer form a team to research and share their learning about our most essential natural resource – WATER. In presenting your research and sharing your publicity for the Water Mission annual Walk for Water with your class, you have taught all of us why water is important for daily life, where water comes from, and why we should use it wisely. You've also shown us water problems in other countries and defined just what “world water crisis” means. By introducing us to the non-profit organization, Water Mission, you've helped us understand how organizations can help in this crisis and you have challenged us to find ways as individuals and families to “make a difference” in the lives of others.

Now that your Webquest tasks have been accomplished, what else could you do about the world water crisis? You are tomorrow's leaders, how can you continue to spread the word that to have a healthy planet for all God's people we all need to do our part?

Have you thought about:

  • Signing up to do a Walk for Water with your family, friends

  • Volunteering for Water Mission

  • Helping to raise $ for Water Mission

  • Working on a water conservation plan at home, at school, in your neighborhood

  • What other groups might benefit from what you have learned ex: your PTA, church or scout group

  • Other ways to spread the word ex: write a children's book, make a movie, organize a local Walk for Water or a water festival
